Dear guests,

As you have read in the press, most of the regulations of the federal states on infection control have been lifted since the beginning of April 2022. After two years full of challenges for the global hotel industry, normality is therefore returning to all of us.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to the Maritim Hotels and to making your stay a relaxing and eventful one. We have put together the following tips for you.

All previously known measures are cancelled. Accordingly, this does not apply:

  • The obligation to provide proof of vaccinations or tests
  • The wearing of masks

This is long awaited and very good news for all of us. Nevertheless, we ask you to continue to be considerate so that all guests can enjoy a carefree stay and our staff can work safely. For your own protection and that of our staff, we would therefore be grateful if you would continue to wear masks in the hotel, when going to the buffet, in the lifts etc.

Please note that there may still be restrictions on hotel services due to official requirements because of the Corona pandemic. This concerns in particular the wellness and gastronomic facilities. It is possible, for example, that the pool, sauna or fitness room may not be made available, the bar may not be open or breakfast may not be offered in buffet form. The general usability of the aforementioned facilities is therefore not part of the contract. However, we will of course make available all facilities where no prohibition is opposed. Restrictions are also possible with regard to the obligation to wear masks, hand disinfection, distance rules to be observed or the restriction of contact with other guests. Please inform yourself about the current situation directly on the website of the Maritim Hotel to which you wish to travel.

To ensure that you continue to feel safe and in good hands with us, many of the measures we took during the peak phase of the pandemic are now standard practice in our hotels. We have compiled more detailed information for you below.

Hotel room

To ensure that you have a carefree stay with us, extensive hygiene and safety measures have been developed and our staff extensively trained. When you arrive, your room will be freshly cleaned, aired and carefully disinfected. For hygienic reasons, we sometimes do not display newspapers and brochures in the hotels. You are welcome to help yourself to the brochure rack in the lobby or ask at the reception desk for daily newspapers or magazines, which you can purchase there. We kindly ask you to dispose of read material after use and not to leave it lying around.

If you like to relax in a bathrobe in the morning or in the evening, you will find one in your room if you book the corresponding category or you can borrow one (for a fee) at the reception. On arrival, we welcome you with a bottle of water in your room. Depending on the booked category, you will find further drinks and snacks in the minibar in your room. If this is not the case, you are welcome to make purchases around the clock at the reception kiosk and use the mini-fridge in your room.

Gastronomy

In every Maritim Hotel we offer you our signature breakfast buffet in the usual selection and quality. 

So that you can start the day relaxed, we recommend that you find out when you arrive at which times in the morning the restaurant is less busy. Due to the fact that we disinfect all tables after use for your safety, there may be waiting times at the entrance during the time when all guests like to have breakfast in the morning. We sincerely ask for your understanding in this regard. 

At lunchtime and in the evening, depending on the hotel, we serve you a large selection of dishes à la carte or buffet, of course also with vegetarian/vegan variations. You decide whether you want to enjoy them on the occasion of a restaurant visit or use our room service. In addition, many of our hotels have large terraces where you can dine in the open. Please refer to the website of the hotel you would like to travel to for more information about our gastronomic offer, where this information is constantly updated.

Wellness and Sport

As you know, all of our Maritim Hotels in Germany have a pool. Cooling down and sportive activities are therefore ensured! For the latest information on opening times, special regulations, etc., please visit the hotel website.

Let us massage you in our beauty departments, enjoy a facial treatment, a pedicure of your troubled feet or a relaxing Ayurvedic treatment (not open in all hotels). You will find information about the offers on the page of your desired hotel. Tip: To be on the safe side, it is best to make your appointment when you book your room.

Group tours

Always ideally suited for social travel, we offer your groups carefree stays in attractive locations. Many of our long-standing customers know: there is plenty of space at Maritim. Large rooms and lobbies, corridors and gastronomic facilities and a variety of function rooms are ideal for easily meeting the requirements of a wide range of group sizes. In addition, the vast majority of hotels have terraces and outdoor areas for outdoor activities, champagne receptions and coffee tables.

Check-in
Depending on your wishes, we will check your participants in directly on arrival in the coach or you can use the check-in option at reception. Before your arrival, all rooms will have been freshly cleaned, aired and carefully disinfected.

Catering
We have prepared delicious buffets and menus for the physical well-being of your group. Depending on the hotel, you will take your meal together in the restaurant or in a suitable function room, which we will prepare especially for you. You would still like to observe the distance rules? No problem, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Season opening and closing trips
Due to the size of our hotels, we can make a lot of things possible. Many of our customers are currently planning to familiarise their guests with the new travel programmes within the framework of this popular form of event. If you already have concrete ideas, please contact us early so that your desired date can still be realised.

Booking conditions
You can benefit from our attractive group rates for groups of 15 or more participants. If you would like to make a trip at this point in time, even though the group size mentioned is slightly missed, it is still worth talking to us so that we can check your request. The same applies to options. Let us know if you want to apply again and need more time for this. We have been a partner in group tourism for 52 years and offer individual solutions for special requirements.

Event planners who have been holding their meetings regularly and happily with us for years know that there is plenty of space in Maritim Hotels. Large rooms and lobbies, wide corridors, extensive exhibition areas, spacious outdoor areas for meetings in the open and over 450 conference rooms in Germany. The Maritim Hotels in Bad Homburg, Bremen, Dresden, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Ulm and Würzburg are also directly connected to the city's congress centre. No matter what you need and with which participant size you are planning, we have enough space to meet your requirements and enough experience to inspire you. In our conference planner we added all the changed capacities, should you continue to rely on the distance rule. Our trained teams act as consultants for your individual wishes and find solutions for every requirement. As in the last 52 years, your event is in the best hands with us, even under the new conditions.

During the pandemic, all our hotels were officially inspected and approved for operation in accordance with the specific hygiene and safety requirements of the individual federal states. To ensure that you continue to feel safe and in good hands with us, many of the measures we took during the height of the pandemic are now standard practice in our hotels on a daily basis.
Please note that masks are still mandatory at events in some federal states in Germany.

Conference rooms

Upon receipt of your request, we will inform you which conference room is perfectly suited to the size of the event you have requested. On your arrival, the room is freshly cleaned, ventilated, carefully disinfected and positioned so that all distance regulations are met. Therefore it is unfortunately not possible to arrive with more participants than originally requested. If you can foresee that the number of your guests will change, please inform us in advance. It is important for us to point out that the organizer is responsible for the compliance with the official regulations inside the conference room. 

Public foyers and break times
In order to make it possible for all groups to stay in the exhibition areas and areas between the conference rooms, we will discuss the start, end and break times of your event with you in advance. The consistent compliance with the pre-planned times requires discipline from all of us and serves the safety of your guests and our teams.

Catering
Of course, during your stay with us we will also take care of the physical well-being of your guests. In advance we will agree with you whether you would like to have catering in the conference room or, where available, use the hotel's central coffee station. If there are several groups in the hotel, we will draw up a schedule, which we will coordinate with you. You can find our menu here.

Areas around the hotel
Many Maritim Hotels have large outdoor areas, terraces and green spaces which you are welcome to use for your event. As we have many possibilities to react to all weather conditions, please contact us if you do not wish to hold meetings in closed rooms at the moment.

Information for agencies and major events
Whether a face-to-face meeting, digital or hybrid, we will implement your event exactly according to your specifications. If you opt for hybrid, for example, some of your guests can follow the event in the meeting room and other interested parties can join in via video conference. Together with our partners, we offer a wide range of technical concepts, which we will be happy to present to you. Digital presentation technology, virtual conferences, interpreter booths and much more, our technical equipment opens up all possibilities for you. If you already have a technical partner, we will of course be happy to work with them as well.
